MEET A MOM – ELYSE LEVKULICH
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER WITH DICKERSON CREATIVE COMMUNICATIONS
FOODIE/LIFESTYLE INFLUENCER BEHIND @BURGHNOSH
Where are you originally from, and how long have you lived in Pittsburgh?
I am originally from Central PA and moved to Pittsburgh for college, met my husband and ended up staying!
How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
I have a daughter who is 7 years old and is going on 17!
What do you love about living in Pittsburgh?
I love the diversity of the city as well as all of the fun places that I am able to take my child to experience new things whether it be a museum, art gallery, or new restaurant.
What’s your favorite restaurant and/or place to shop in Pittsburgh?
I love to wander around the Strip District on weekend mornings with my daughter. We like to go up and down the streets checking out new fun snacks to nosh on while on our adventure as well as stopping to grab eclectic small toys to take home and cherish.
Tell us about your business.
I am a social media manager with Dickerson Creative Communications by day and a budding foodie/lifestyle influencer at night. We work with businesses (local and far) to create social media strategies that set their business up for success. Whether you are looking for us to manage your social media and marketing entirely or if you just are looking for fresh brand photos- we would love to help!
What do you love about your job?
I love that I get to make a career out of my love of food, fashion, and all things Pittsburgh.
What is your favorite thing to do with your child and/or family?
I love to do crafts with my daughter and create new things with her!
How do you juggle work and motherhood?
When they say that it takes a village, it truly does! I am very grateful for my in-laws who help out a lot when it comes to evening events as well as my husband who truly supports me by always being as flexible as possible.
How has the Pittsburgh community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
I came to Pittsburgh for college, fell in love with the food scene and the people and never left! The culture itself is so instrumental to where I am now- if I would have gone back to my hometown, my career would be vastly different. I am incredibly lucky to have a career where I get to work with local restaurants & brands to create fun new content for them, while exploring the city on a daily basis.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received from another mom?
The best advice that I have ever received is that I am not perfect. No one can be, but showing up every single day for your child and making sure that they know they are loved is enough!
